Tornados

I live in Sanford, NC (actually just close to it) and on April 16th 2011 tornadoes devastated our area. This was a Lowes Home Improvement store. The photo was not taken by me, but by a local newspaper.

I love dragonflies. My daughter and I found this one on the porch. It was already dead but in near perfect condition.

An orchid maybe?!

Is this tiny wildflower an orchid of some kind? It does resemble my orchid in it's shape. Inquiring minds want to know...

Cape Fear River

Looking out at the Cape Fear River. There is a state park here called Ravenrock. It's miles of walking trails that lead to certain areas of the park. This is the end of the 'fish traps' trail. The water was low enough for us to go out on the rocks that create the fish traps.
